My family and I have relocated from Las Vegas, Nevada to the New England area. I am a Senior Software Developer for Liberty Mutual writing claims software for our Personal Markets group. I am happy to say I am not currently seeking any other employment.
I have programming experience in both C++ and Java, but I love learning new languages and technologies. I currently do all of my Java development in Windows, but I also enjoy using Linux and Mac OS X. For fun, I used to collect operating systems, including FreeBSD, Be OS, as well as most Linux, Macintosh, and Window versions. I seem to lack time and hardware to do that any longer.
As for formal studies, I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science from Boston University through their Metropolitan College. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. That degree also had an emphasis of study in communications. I tried to take as many classes related to web and video technologies, with an emphasis on mass communications and usability. My previous Bachelor of Arts degree is from Baylor University, in Religion.
